The Marines and Sailors of the MEU are focused on being ready to carry out any contingency-based mission that could include proving humanitarian assistance or engaging in full-scale combat operations. Nate's wife Alana delivered Naomi on Jan. 2 just in time for Nate to see her before he left on Jan. 5. Nate and Alana are from the University area of Charlotte, but are now stationed at the USMC Cherry Point Air Station.
